Brothers and Sisters,
Local 612 is changing our credit card vendor to Gravity payments. This will allow our members pay their dues through the Local 612 App. If you would like to get the App, open the search feature in your App store, type in IUOE 612, and select download. If you are doing automatic monthly payments via credit card and have not changed your payment process over to Gravity, you need to contact the office and talk to Tonya or Tina to help you facilitate this. As of 11/30/2020, we will no longer be using the old vendor, which could cause a problem with your dues being current. Please call the office if you have any questions.
It’s that time again where we participate in the upcoming election cycle. I’m attaching the Pierce County Central Labor Council Endorsements with this letter. I want to be perfectly clear: it is your right to vote for whom you choose. This is just who the PCCLC endorses for the 2020 General Elections with some specific Local 612 endorsees. Local 612 has a different opinion on the 10th Congressional District; we are endorsing Marilyn Strickland and for Lt. Governor, we are endorsing Denny Heck. My main concern is that you all participate in the election process.
The union meetings for the month of October in District 1 and 2 will be cancelled until further notice and Local 612 will continue to be in compliance with the COVID-19 Washington Phased In Approach.
Here is a brief message from General President Callahan pertaining to the ITEC:
REGULAR TRAINING CLASSES AND NORMAL OPERATIONS AT THE ITEC WILL RESUME ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2020. IF YOU ARE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR A TRAINING CLASS THAT WEEK (OR YOU PLAN TO REGISTER FOR ONE), THEN PLEASE BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL INTO THE ITEC ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH. As previously stated, the guidance and directives that we are receiving from public health officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic are continuously being updated and are still changing every day. Therefore, if the COVID-19 situation in Harris County worsens within the next weeks, we will provide you with another update about any additional changes to the operational status of the ITEC as soon as possible.
I hope all is well with everyone and their families. Take care, Stay Healthy and Safe.
In solidarity,
Todd J. Mickelson
